THE FOOD MILL
SHARED KITCHEN (coming soon!)
Creating a culture where food is medicine means nurturing our own culinary talent and helping food entrepreneurs craft their own restaurants in a supportive environment. Our Shared Kitchen will serve as a shared incubator kitchen space.
Our Shared Kitchen is coming soon! Here’s how to get ready:
To cook in our Shared Kitchen, you’ll need a few things first:
Business license
Business insurance
Cottage food license
Health or agriculture department permit
We know that can feel like a lot—but you don’t have to figure it out alone! We’ve teamed up with StartUP Columbus and Open Door Community House to help food entrepreneurs get the training, certifications, and support needed to turn their passion into a real business.
StartUP Columbus
Join a fall cohort starting August 12 to get business training, mentorship, and a 1-year Chamber membership. Payment plans available! Apply Now.
Open Door Culinary Arts Training
A 20-week hands-on culinary program (for those who qualify under 80% AMI) that includes ServSafe certification and kitchen skill, —plus full sponsorship to go through StartUP afterward.
Whether you're just beginning or ready to take the next step, these programs are here to help you grow.
Calling all cooks, canners, food trucks, bakers, & more!
Shared Kitchen Coming Soon…
